Saving Lives. Lives matter. Human lives matter. Plant lives matter. Animal lives matter.
and the WE CANT WAIT -WEIGHT of the ENDANGERED ELEPHANTS LIVES was so
HEAVY
on her
heart
it cr
a ck/ed O P E N
and out poured THE MATRIARCH -from her spiritual veins.
and SHE STANDS STRONG AND BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL before you WRITE NOW
with a real life story to share. -with a crucial cause to bring to your attention.
-because in case you haven't seen it: the magnificent size, shape and color and texture of elephants! in case you haven't felt it: the awe and wonder this giant mammal inspires by its mere existence; in case you didn't know it: how elephants are not only the largest land mammal in size, but one of the most intelligent and sensitive
and most expressive.
in case you haven't seen it, or felt it, in case you didn't read it, or know it: how playful and loving and caring the elephants can be, how they celebrate with joy the birth of their offspring... and how fiercly they protect them
how they grieve the death of elephants from their herds; not only at the time of death, but, years later..
still pausing at the places where deaths occurred. and touching the remains -they remember.

with a similar dilemma:
i cannot verbally communicate the miracle of my existence. the life giving; life enhancing pragmatic and spiritual contribution of my presence; how it is i was born; where, exactly, i came from; the fears and doubts and mistakes and ongoing threats my creator encounters but overcomes; the FIRES weve both been through

A HYBRID MATRIARCH -the evolving female artist and the endangered elephants
spiritually mated; the sculptor in collaboration with a growing concern
protection vs. extinction
life or death? intrinsic value vs. monetary value.

that elephants stop being murdered for their ivory tusks.
that is WHAT MATTERS to Ju Ju Koop.
