2 Corinthians 10:5 as observed by (me!) sandra, tvgp

steven pressfield.  book featured: the war of art.  interview by Oprah on her Super Soul Sunday program.

Pay Close Attention.  Let those who have ears to hear; hear..   those who have eyes to see; see...  those who have hearts to know; know

***

steven:  ".. Resistance, to me, is like a force of nature."

"-for every dream; a shadow; resistance"        "a dragon that guards the gold"

"FINDING THE NAME IS THE MOST IMPORANT THING"

"... The FORM THAT RESISTANCE TAKES is THOUGHTS IN YOUR HEAD,
-that's the form it takes,  ~write.    And THE THOUGHT SAYS, 'I'm not Worthy, its been done 100x before...

When we hear THOSE THOUGHTS,  the mistake we make
is we think that they are OUR thoughts.   But, they are RESISTANCE.   They're another..

THEY ARE A FORCE OF NATURE, and so sort of like meditation..

THEY ARE NOT OUR THOUGHTS; they are a FORCE OF NATURE  -This negative FORCE

That is,  -whether it comes from our EGO,

or whether it comes from

so, there you have it.  -and in fact, this has already been said 100x before, by different people, in different ways, and it will be shared 100x more..

for (me!) this is secular speak for the exact same thing that is taught and understood by Christians and in the Bible.   Joyce Meyer has a book titled quite perfectly:  Battlefield of the Mind.

ive already written extensively on it..   steven pressfield named it Resistance.  Christians name it, The Devil, or The Enemy

but we speak of the same thing; a negative force of nature, which manifests itself through negative thoughts in our mind.

which is why, I am particulary fond of the Bible passages which teach us to

HOLD EVERY THOUGHT CAPTIVE.

so, in secular speak you have RESISTANCE, a force of nature which plants negative thoughts in your mind, that are not your thoughts, and that you must overcome

in Christian speak, you have The Enemy, who seeks to devour and destroy, by way of negative thoughts (battlefield is your mind)  -and we are taught to hold every thought captive and measure against God's truth

the language I use for this experience, personally, is

I hold every thought captive and put it through the holy filter..

my question for secular speak/interpretation is:   how do YOU KNOW the negative thought is not true?   what are you measuring/weighing that negative thought against?

do we not all have a place of knowing...   there is a truth.  and THE TRUTH is

YOU are a MASTERPIECE made from LOVE, and for LOVE...

Unconditional, Deep and Eternal

***

am I repeating this analogy?  so be it.

when I put a couple AA batteries in, there is always a - and a +

positive and negative.

write.

if I put positive/positive, the thing will not turn on.
if I put negative/negative, the thing will not turn on.
no batteries; no work..

only, the combination: positive & negative turns the thing on and sends it in motion..

so, I think of us operating under similar circumstances.   if we have exclusively positive everything; it stifles/stunts..  prevents us from needing to exert effort/energy..

if only negative and absolutely no positive...    we get depressed, and immobilized

but the energy required to daily overcome the negative, with positive

as steven pressfield would say,  -to daily overcome RESISTANCE...

ah!    -now we have momentum; we are working...    so

"GO!"     "TURN YOURSELF ON!"      this does not mean the absence of negative forces,

but the use of them...

In Jesus High Creative Genius Name!  Isaiah 55:9...     amen!

its a great interview. he goes on to say anytime you are trying to reach higher, toward your more noble self, you will encounter Resistance.

Which is the secular equivalent to the popular Christian saying:

"New level ~ new devil."

the entire interview is the secular view of this universal experience

that can be found in the Bible.

we are each using a different language to explain the same human experience.. share the same wisdom.

and so I wonder how long before everyone catches on...

Do I hear an "amen!"
