i don't know how many years ive been doing the sign of the cross at the sound of an ambulance or fire truck en route to an emergency..

/sometimes, accidentally, at the sound of a police car just pulling someone over for a ticket..

but when my kids asked me why i do it..

I accompany the gesture always with a prayer of gratitude for our first responders.

we are very blessed to have first responders and communication methods like 911..

"Thank you!". in Jesus name, amen.
