well, -poor john, huh

having to throw himself out in front of a bus to get my attention, but hey,

"it worked!"

here i was rotating 4 different luke warm reads... good enough to occupy my time during long waits, but none compelling enough to steal my attention away from anything

with midnight in the garden of good and evil, however

i almost called in sick yesterday so i could finish reading it. -i didn't call in sick, but,

i thought about it for a long time. then just worked with such an excitement for the day to end so i get back to this story.. these wonderful characters... the suspense

i finished it last night. -i will remember it always.

and i think that's one of the most beautiful endings to any story i've ever read;

i love this sentence:

Every nuance and quirk of personality achieved greater brilliance in that lush enclosure than would have been possible anywhere else in the world.

"thank you john berendt! thank you real characters of savannah.."
