and the winner is... satya nadella! -for (me!) sandra, tvgp #juryduty
the competition! the war... in my head.. with so many topics competing for attention"write about me! write about me!"
and every writer knows you are at risk of -forgetting all together, or.. losing the fire..
so, let me
give me just a moment
* it is 2017 -a young teenage girl has had her phone removed and is on restriction for -you don't even have to guess what.. sending an inappropriate picture of herself...
if there is anything that comes as less of a surprise than that..
* the owl * holly and the honey
* not being a 'pleasanton' type person
* the exboyfriend observation
* the masterpiece of a book I am currently reading
* response to art experiment
* projection of word/label Christian
* living in a senior only community
* kick in the gut/saying goodbye to.. ant...
* followed my bliss write into bankruptcy
* the unbroken/predictable pattern of mass shootings/gun control arguments; mass shooting/gun control arguments; mass shooting/gun control arguments...
and there is more, but
the winner is!

satya Nadella -interviewed by my
cut to: the greatest challenge... economic... oh, how did he word it? let the layperson in me, say
-how can we -as a society- us, the people who are currently designing artificial intelligence; augmented reality, founders/pioneers of the world wide web, cell phones, pc's and organ donations/transplants..
how can we help more people economically? how can we... shrink the gargantuan and growing gap between the sickeningly wealthy and the life-threatening poor?
and, -how ironic, isn't it -this dilemma being discussed by the CEO of MICROSOFT...
here are my top 3 suggestions:
1. full disclosure/transparency for every business with over, I don't know... say 50 people.
how much highest amount earned: _____________ position: _________
how much lowest amount earned: _______________ position: __________
and when an entire business is thriving/profiting.. and it is because an entire team, each member is contributing
what is the % more the highest person earns vs. lowest? SHRINK THAT. SPREAD THAT WEALTH OUT AMONG ALL TEAM PLAYERS.
2. you know those ka-thousands of dollars expert witnesses get paid for giving their 'expert' opinions in court trials -and they don't even have to be write
that in fact, you can have two different 'experts' share polar opposite information about the same topic; and they both still get paid ka-thousands, even though one is obviously wrong..
and the non-expert jurors, pulled off the street.. are supposed to decipher/decode/guess/hope/pray.. read facial expressions, try and factor in... listen intently, project, object.. detangle.. unravel.. and determine which of the two 'experts' really is one..
yeah
take those ka-thousands and spread it out evenly among the jurors who are doing the real work. who are collaboratively making the decision based on the research of the experts..
why do we have them at all; when they cancel each other out? -take the money and run...
3. sports. movies. -entertainment in general... there are a lot of people contributing when a team or movie is successful
how is the profit currently distributed? based on what formulas? -the opportunities to spread/distribute wealth are enormous! it is not that the wealth itself does not exist... -write.
it's there.
if I were to pay.. $150 for a successful team jersey /I would never, but let's say..
I sure would love to see how they came up with the price.. but even more importantly; how the profits are ultimately distributed..
and, as we have learned time and time and time and time and time and time and time again..
people don't tend to do the write thing; because it is the write thing..
we need new laws.
we need to cultivate a culture where people feel their very best, and are their most proud... and are celebrated, recognized, praised for the number of people they can raise above poverty level; and into a livable, financially stable community of hard working, thriving families
we need to recognize we are on the same team! America is strongest when...
4. insurance companies... ! -grand opportunity here to be discussed at a later date..

and, the next very most important thing to share is this
-I was very moved by the testimony on cbs sunday morning about cash/money being the best donation for areas devastated by natural disasters
-ive always thought.. and wondered.. but, they really put it in perspective
and the number one reason, -besides the obvious, of storage, sorting, shipping, distribution
is, how much it really can help the local economies in hard hit areas.
so I must post that.. find it; post it.
In Jesus name, amen.
