3 six month old poems. by (me!) sandra, tvgp

124th reason I love my blog!

my 6 months are up; the rejection is in..  "now i can share!"

/such a rule follower ,i am.

***

and by the way, before i re-type the poems you see hand-written in these photographs.  /and which were then typed in mandatory format...       check it out:   it is such a clever go around!

let me explain what i mean.   recently at alden lane one of the young high school students asked, slash, shared

 -so sincerely

and yet, tongue & cheek

"like..  it must have been way easier for your generation (speaking of baby-boomers) to plagiarize!  but nowadays..       they have programs that check online...   and, you can get called out even if you have a matching paragraph..  even if you didn't plagiarize a whole article"

and i just had to laugh at that...

but it got me to thinkin'..    and you know how much i love it, when people say things that get me thinkin'

let's say,   - for the sake of explaining:   let's say, i did not re-type the poems you can see handwritten on  paper in the pictures below

-IF only the pictures  (of poems) existed,   -pictures with hand-writting..    and there was NO TEXT for a program to search...

IS THERE?   DOES THERE CURRENTLY EXIST..   a program which can search/identify a picture of text..  vs. text itself?    -to my knowledge; not currently..

what a great challenge! for coders/programmers..    -we have face recognition programs..

i  kinda feel, and believe.. there is nothing they can't eventually figure out how to do...

[save, computers evolving to manifest fruits of the spirit...]

but i'm going to type these poems out also..         and therefore the text itself will be searchable.

1.  poets inheritance

"there is only so much i can teach you,"
he told the child,  -this man.
"but once you get here,  you'll understand."

"if there is one thing i can teach you,"
from eternal spirit to that man

"only once.  you're here.  understand?"

2.  forever is

in my earliest memory   -anything over a minute
the inside of energy between start & finish

then the week before summer break
then the drive en route to the lake.

it has been the 6 months i dated 'the one'
and often the

between boredom
and fun.

it is the echo of whitney houston's shoop shoop be doop

but really,

it is the untangling of an invisible
mysterious
and infinite loop

                                 of love.

3.   natural disaster

my box of truth
might catch fire
my touch might cause a flood

your earth might quake
with (me!) on top
my words like quicksand;  -mud

there's no protection you can purchase
no insurance you can buy

no predicting from the forecast
in my sparkling emerald eyes

one smile, one bat of lashes
one whisper in your ear

lights will flash, alarms will sound

...emergency broadcast...

SHE is HERE.
