this bench, -technically the 2nd, but really the 1st bench you arrive at if you are hiking this specific trail.. it should be painted bronze. at the next highest level... you arrive at a silver bench... and at the very top .. the highest point..

ALSO.. I was thinking, having seen a high number of dogs, in the heat, and with our drought..

How cool it might be if there were a couple large water dishes for the dogs.. No of course you can't pipe it in, or refill as an individual.. Carrying up all this water..

But! Almost every hiker carries water, and

there are a lot of hikers! -what if it became a tradition for each hiker to pour a small amount in as they walked by..
