A PUBLIC "THANK YOU!" TO MY BROTHER! And cry for help.. From (me!) Sandra, tvgp

Let me start by explaining how this all got started:   my laptop crashed. There were three noble attempts to save it.. I declined the fourth as it was devastating to repeatedly lose one of a kind information and photos. I lived without my own computer for a very long time; just borrowed or went to the library. Fine. -but set my hands on a keyboard while working at the courtyard Marriott and fell in love! "Love I tell you!". /see my poem titled rock star writer..

Anyway, - now I know I want a computer and monitor vs. A laptop or iPad or any other computer type because I am in love with this keyboard.. I want to type on it for the rest of my writing life.

I've typed on too many different types of machines to even count! Manual typewriter; electric typewriter, different keyboards on every computer in every home or office..  On flat glass iPads.. On tiny phones../which I'm two thumb typing on write now..

So I know..  And I love this keyboard I have and I sometimes type on it even though its not even connected to a computer because.. Its so damn wonderful

I'm pretty strapped financially and so have been unable to purchase a computer but have had a left over monitor that's fine..

And then...

And then!  My awesome, wonderful and generous brother ships me a computer for my birthday!  "Thank you!!!!!"

And I go to set it up..  -very proud of what I was able to accomplish on my own..

Only it won't connect to the internet..

Turns out I need a...Wi-Fi USB adapter..

Other financial responsibilities surface.. So this is going to take a while..

When I receive some $ as a gift.. "Thank you!" Mom..  I, at last! Go get the Wi-Fi adapter..

The Wi-Fi adapter comes with an installation software and manual DVD..(CD?).  -disk.

And what I learned today.. Is that CD disk thing on my computer..

It will not open.

So..  I'm like, "God..  Are you trying to tell me you want me at the library or what?!?"

Please inform.   -amen."
