Heavenly Guided.. Indigenous Word Art Experience for (me!) ~topps #IWA #PISMOBEACH #pacificdunesranch
i must capture this: grateful to know in advance, my friends can be counted on to help me create and capture an indigenous word art piece. -and, maria had asked me if i had any ideas
"well, i just want it to say pismo.. and probably in red, white and blue, since we are here for the 4th."
that's all i really had in mind.
so we scouted for flowers in the color theme.. and came by some red ones rather easily.. and less available, but we did find some white flowers..
-no blue. nothin'. nada.. ninguno
and then it dawned on me.. ! ... when we were on the horse back ride.. along the narrow path heavy with greenery.. there were some blue lupine! yes, of course!
so we trekked back to the horse riding ranch and i asked about... and there was no way of getting back on foot to where we were on horse..
but they recommended a different path toward the dunes, "maybe further in? give that a go.."
and maria and i could both tell, looking far and wide, that there was not any blue lupine within a mile radius at least..
and just when i was about to retreat and give up...
what's that blue string stuff sticking out of the sand?! and i reached over, leaned down, tugged on it.. and it was attached to a much longer thick blue plastic rope of some sort...
as i looked around, i saw portions of rope sticking out of the sand over here, and over there..
each time, i would reach over and tug on it... and sure enough... a long, thick, plastic rope..
guess what..
i left that area with rope in three colors: red, white & blue.
so, i just said "thank you!" to Jesus, and whoever is helping me up there...
but if you've known/read me long enough.. these magical, mystical, divine occurrences are a recurring blessing of the most helpful and creative kind.
-falls in the same category as "the heart seen" collection: you don't look for; only notice when..
red, white and blue... -perfect.. honestly.. that was awesome all by itself..
but friendship points again! because, honey.. it was... the winds were like... 38mph..
how on earth are we going to create an indigenous word art piece with these winds..
and maria suggested we wait until the next day.. but i knew then, what i know now..
it would never happen at all unless we did it write then. she embraced the challenge with me..
and we used some heavy rocks to help hold.. and we did have to chase objects, put them back.. keep going.. move very quickly..
but "WE DID IT!"
and it is always a unique experience.. fun, challenging, rewarding, creative
and i love having this one to add to our collection "Thank You!" Love you, Appreciate You!
-now, I never quite understood where the rope came from in the first place.. why this sandy area had so many to find..
but, after we got home, we were watching, wildlife nation with jeff corwin, -and when i glanced up at the tv.. that seal with a bunch of the same style rope all caught around its neck
so, -felt extra good about having removed, used, and then thrown away...
amen.
