Spectacular 4th of July in Pismo Beach "Thank You!" (san bruno! & santa maria!)
i don't know how long ago the invitation came, but, ever since we added pismo beach to our calendar, i was dreaming about, getting excited (and a little nervous) about.. "horseback riding!" -because i haven't been on a horse since... since...

and the experience exceeded my expectations! through the ranch, along a narrow path heavy with trees, plants, greenery, shade.. and eventually out into the sand dunes, with the ocean in the distance.
-gorgeous, gorgeous animals.. strong and beautiful, patient and kind. and "thank you!" here to our tour guides too.. same can be said: strong and beautiful, patient and kind.
i am limited on time, and there is much more to capture/remember... but, -you know how much i love hand-feeding the squirrels in monterey.. this is its own joyful, rewarding experience too -hand-feeding horses. -this one loves fuji apples. xoxo
also, loving having so many 1st's (first time experiences) in my mid 50's. -first e-bike ride only days ago, and now: First time sledding on sand dunes -the illusion of how risky it looks, speed wise, vs. the actual slower, novice level speed we went
a blast! and visually, the area.. picturesque! a beautiful contrast to my everyday environments/landscapes. it is something i would love to do again.. but add music, snacks, blankets, shade umbrellas.. hang out for hours. slide down, exercise back up, rest... repeat, repeat, repeat.
and then, WOW! to front row, VIP seating for the professional fireworks, with popular america theme music soundtrack playing in the background. #proudtobeamerican
add in the extra wonderful, delicious campground breakfasts and bbq's, coffee, desserts, spirits.. some extra celebrating for san bruno's birthday.. outstanding 4th of july weekend
