now, -first thing I must do, is stand corrected.  -for how long have I told my children, that one of the saddest things is that it is (2014, 2015..) 2016, and still the only way to know if you are an alcoholic is when you start drinking alcohol, you find that you cannot stop.   -and, how awful, that that is the only way you could know..    whether alcohol controls you, or you can control alcohol..

but!  turns out I was wrong.  turns out, you can send some spit to this company, or a company like it, and they will report back...   well, from my understanding,

they can at least provide you with information that shares whether you are more or less likely to be an alcoholic; without being definitive.    hallelujah!

and I support/understand people who want to learn these things:  maternal/paternal lineage; traits; wellness; carrier status..

but as my own personal life journey has been more...   

well,  -it can tell me personally nothing that would help now, with being the victim/survivor of... 

an abusive alcoholic; bullies; PTSD..     corporate greed; idea thieves; narcissistic/ego driven carnal/flesh behavior of grown men and women; it can offer me nothing in the way of addressing/handling/coping with the -opposites-    of the fruits of the spirit manifesting in humanity today:

love/hate and/or evil
joy/misery
peace/internal conflicts/addictions
patience/impulsiveness
kindness/mean spiritedness
goodness/ugliness
gentleness/harshness
faithfulness/betrayal
self-control/outwardly controlled, manipulated

it can provide nothing in the way of   -understanding forgiveness, toward self or others.   nothing in the way of how to evolve from a self-centered, outwardly influenced and controlled human being into a humanitarian, liberated from circumstances..


there is great value, I am aware, of understanding our physical natures/our lineage,  and so,  for people to whom that is important and beneficial, -this information/technology is probably overdue

but, for me..  we are physical and spiritual beings.  flesh and spirit..    and the lions share of my curiosity, my insights, my learnings and my teachings;  they are of the human spirit.

so my calling, as I see, and experience it, is not toward matters physical; or of the flesh..

my calling, is to learn and teach about the fruits of the spirit...

my greatest interest is in helping fellow humans evolve into peaceful, loving, contributing citizens of the world...    and my greatest concern remains as it has been for some time:  technology out-evolving humans..

anywhere you have a grown man or women abusing/controlling/manipulating/exploiting others; still battling addictions; still controlled by moods, or circumstances, or ego, or flesh

you have a human who failed to evolve.    -how can I, how can we, help everyone master their lives vs. have their lives mastered by those things just mentioned above..

it at least seems reasonable to (me!) that we start by studying/learning as much as we can about people who have successfully evolved:

my mind goes now to the remember them monument in Oakland:  25 of the worlds greatest humanitarians...
