honored to receive an invitation to participate this year
in literary row at the 7th annual pleasanton
poetry, prose & arts festival.
"..a popular festival feature, "literary row" offers thirty california poetry & prose authors, plus representatives from various literary organizations, an opportunity to showcase their published works, network with the literary community, and mentor aspiring authors"
1:00-2:30pm, sat. april 5th
"... this free event presents a win/win opportunity for conference attendees and authors to meet, mingle, network and share their mutual passion for words, in the best literary tradition.."
-looking forward to it! online version of brochure at www.pleasantonarts.org
this festival is where i met jim ott, was introduced to billy collins one year, michael chabon the next... where i collected personally inscribed copies of kathy cordova's book: let go, let miracles happen... where i cracked further open as a writer in poetry workshops, deepened old friendships, created new ones..
many thanks here to kirk ridgeway! and all the others making the magic happen behind the scenes

I went to market
Basket in hand
Looking to buy words
No ordinary words will do
No cookie cutter big box store for me
Only the finest words will do
Looking for local
Organic
Home Grown words
Madam Poet what words do you have for me
Do you have hope
Do you have anger
Do you have pride
Do you have passion
Do you have sorrow
Do you have love
Madam Poet what words do you have for me
