Dear Ian Bardenstein from (me!) ~sandra

your recent 'a guide to saving someone from choking'  written by an expert blogger

-made it into my imaginary top 3 reads of 2023 list      /created just now; for you..

the craft! the delivery! the cadence!     i just laughed and smiled, smiled and

-especially how you incorporated the ads

laughed some more.

and, unfortunately, that was my last free article

so i was forced to quickly make some friends out of total strangers in order to reread it.

mind if i borrow your phone..     i'll give it write back.   ~promise.

turns out i can be trusted.

and turns out,     -all my new friends,

they either,  a.  have never visited newyorker.com, or if you can B leave it; are legitimate subscribers?

because i never encountered 'last free article' on anyone else's device.

      mystery.

anyway,

i just can. not. stand. being interrupted by ads while i'm trying to read!

-it's so rude; so intrus      [insert many cuss words here]

so, that's why i don't subscribe.  i love books.    that's write..   printed books.   hard covers even..

it is heaven to read without distractions..   without little arrows popping up..   without having to dodge an ad three times per paragraph in order to contin

     ....YOU..!#^&*!        click X, CLICK X,

anyway,

went in search on amazon.com for a book by ian bardenstein; a collection maybe..

and when you do, one day, author a collection in book form, that i can read and enjoy, ad free..

let me be the first to know.

you are hilarious, creative and salve for my soul.

******

speaking of...

i just lost a big imaginary bet last night, because i was CERTAIN, this beautiful young woman was going to win the voice; and, but..  she was eliminated!?!

****

this big bet i lost might create in me a certain insecurity when it comes to placing my imaginary bet on tonight's NFL game

but, exactly because it is all just in my imagination,

i can double down,   ante up,  hold 'em, fold'em,

know when to write away,

know when

i'm

done.
