"Cheers!" to these recent movie recommendations from (sexy! & tops!)
jack recommended: the fundamentals of caring. we loved it, and did shed a few tears..
taryn recommended: the social dilemma -we hit pause, to discuss things so often, taryn had to go, and just request we watch the whole thing.. -we did, and it took three times the actual length of the film to watch it, because it inspires so much reflection/assessment/discussion/questions...
but yes! i agree it should be part of every school curriculum; perhaps beginning in middle school -at least to increase awareness -and i have much more i'd like to write/blog about this movie, but will save it for another time
it does make me want to repeat, what i've said many times before.
it is, for me, the greatest line in all of literature, for all of time, without contest:
"it was the best of times; it was the worst of times.." -because it applies generation after generation, no matter how wonderful the new technology.. the new ideas, the new developments, the new medicines, the new & improved systems anywhere...
there always seem to be a dark flip side to every shiny coin.
