Public "thank you!" To (tony!) From Main Street Meat & Fish in downtown (pleasanton!)
Where they are NOW SERVING DELICIOUS DELI SANDWICHES...
***
The picture I wish I had for you is of tony.. Carrying the american flag across main street to come rescue me n' Cortney from a freakishly large black UFCBWLSLAD
-unidentified flying carpenter bee which looks suspiciously like a drone-
He just happen to have the flag in his hand when I yelled across the street.. "Can you help us! Kill a bug.. A giant bug?"
I will recruit anyone willing and within earshot.. First come.. Then serve..
But really.. There was something so comic-book-super-hero about the whole thing exactly because he happen to be carrying the american flag when he crossed the street to rescue us..
I'll skip the details about how that thing was buzzing around stuck between a large mirror (50% off!) and the storefront window.. Making it look like it had a drone-clone..
And skip telling you how polite we were trying to be as tony complained about having to take down his 'now serving deli sandwiches' sign because the city is enforcing their strict sign rules..
-because, how could we really listen with what looked like TWO GIANT BLACK FLYING CREATURES buzzing around in such a mad and unpredictable acrobatic...
We had to keep our eyes on them or else...
We wouldn't know where they went..
Until..
The next time they decide to suddenly appear..
/carpool. TBC.
/never mind.. Forgot its late day..
Where was I? Oh yeah,
We expressed our compassion while simultaneously hinting to tony that there was perhaps a higher (look at him.. Look at creatures.. Look at him.. Stare at creatures) priority in the given moment..
And eventually he caught on... Got a cup.. /as only the bravest of the brave will do
And trapped the UFCBWLSLAD against the storefront window, slid a paper between the window and cup as a temporary lid.. Walked.. Not far enough away for my personal taste
And set it free.
I prefer death to liberty but.. Most importantly it was out of the store.
My gratitude navigated me inside main street meat & fish for the first time where I also met Emma.. A lovely human being if there ever was one.. Who had never been inside ricks picks..
See how this all works..
And "wow!". -got a delicious hot crab sandwiches and some blue chips which I placed inside my crab sandwich.. And headed very happily over to Alden lane.. To research plant/flower names for my upcoming poem
Carpool responsibilities prevent me from really researching..
So I took the path of least resistence, as they say.. And went straight to Jacquie..
My immediate highly knowledgeable human resource
Because, if like me, you've seen her show on TV30
Then. Like me. You know
That she knows... Everything there is to know about gardens.
