any blank space is an empty canvas... just waiting... for (me!) sandra, topps, writeousmom

i'm answering publicly, a question that was recently asked of me privately:

'have you always been creative?'

very recently  -just prior to being asked that question, i had come across these pix again,  -i'm about 15 years old; in a rented apartment

the reason i even mention it, is because when your parent is renting not owning..   you're really not supposed to paint on the walls

but my dad was gracious, and the price was the additional expense, little labor, to get it cleaned up and back to its original color before we moved

in any case..  yes!  i hand painted the harlequin mask on my wall, and added lots of glitter. i purchased the cork and cut out the apple shape and letters of my name; my pillow cases were dark and light pink, so i painted my dresser, light and dark pink..   -my walls are 'collaged'

and i've done that, with different art and objects everywhere i've ever lived..

i never really painted or created on traditional canvases..   but plates, wine bottles, walls, bricks, pots, empty gum containers, wood shapes, faux books, wood pallets, chairs, windows, glass, fabric

-one time, acrylic,    -one time, chicken wire.

our front yard is an empty canvas..

my only traditional canvas art is from our wedding, and it is mixed-media on canvas; not paintings.

-getting ready soon to re-do our entire brick fire place area; this will be the 4th or 5th incarnation..

a great joy!   -starting over; starting fresh; creating something new to look at for a while..

for the love of primer

hallelujah & amen
