GOD/FAMILY: public "Thank You!" to DeVory -for sharing what he's had to transcend in order to thrive in life; and how he did it: he had to transcend both of his parents being drug addicts; had to transcend being a victim of sexual abuse; had to transcend foster care/adoption..
/and "Thank You!" 13 years service in the army.
it is by cultivating a relationship with GOD, -he's been successful. Add him to the billions of people who have transcended great hardship, trauma, in collaboration with God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit.
So, often i hear the term 'evidence-based'
there is more factual, evidence based examples like his than humanity could ever ask for. I am personally adding him to my mental catalogue of 'chain-breakers' -people who are consciously breaking the chain of dysfunction in their families, and raising their own children with faith, love, in healthy homes..
remember i mentioned before.. we should have data on the children of chain-breakers; the results...
and mention here, i do enjoy devory's show -his demeanor; not talking over anyone, no yelling, no child-like insults or tabloid style formats -a calm, mature, thought-out assessment of what mass media is mass sharing. it is 'write' leaning; no doubt..
i can't find where we have it anywhere anymore -both sides and middle ground being fairly represented
it is my experience, ALL 'news' programs can be easily identified by public party affiliation.
and just like in competitive team sports -you have radical fans on each side, and a population of people who really are just there for the tailgate party, food & drinks.. "cheers!"
GOD & COUNTRY: for Christians, everyday we walk in the knowledge Jesus died for us.. and also conquered death
for Americans, Christians and all Americans.. we walk in the knowledge servicemen & women died for us, for our country's freedom
i think of it often.. the sacrifice; the ultimate sacrifice
and then consider our problem with illegal immigration -and it is worth re-mentioning: America's infrastructure; America's resources are FINITE
even if we wanted to -we cannot be host to the entire population of people who want to make the US their home
the only solution i can think of -there needs to be uprisings in these countries people are risking their lives to flee -the same effort, sacrifice employed to make America Free..
let that be the template. our freedom was (is) not for free..
/and will not here re-write about how many American's do not directly experience this 'freedom' that gets talked about...
in Jesus chain-breaking, pain-taking, way-making name.. Hallelujah & Amen God continue to Bless America
