AREAS OF GREATEST CONCERN Open Letter to San Jose Mayor, Matt Mahan

Mayor Matt Mahan,   I have used 311, and want to bring this to your personal attention:

Please visit  1.)  Capital & Hostetter, to the right of Popeyes Chicken and the now closed Carls Jr, now closed Auto Store and now closed other businesses.  There is an encampment growing exponentially, there was a fire when we recently visited Popeyes (for their Tues special).  It is no longer safe for us to visit Popeyes, and we see, left unattended, Popeyes will soon close also, along with the other independent stores and grocery.  We are so tired of watching these illegal encampments cause businesses to close.
Refer to earlier email: Dignity Acres Emergency Campsite.  Please relocate them.  Do not just clean up the area and they scatter elsewhere, or wait a while and return.

Please visit 2.) 411  N. Capital Ave   -to the right of the Weinerschnitzel, across the street from Target.  An illegal encampment growing exponentially and spilling from a greenbelt between stores and residential area onto the sidewalks of Capital.    How many businesses need to close before we relocate these encampments?
Refer to earlier email:  Dignity Acres Emergency Campsite.  Do not just clean and scatter, please RELOCATE

Please visit 3)  Berryessa & Capital, in front of the dental office near Mc Donalds.  Currently a single illegal campsite.  Trash is accumulating daily.  Pedestrians are blocked.  Unaddressed, we know this too will continue to grow and close businesses.  Easier to relocate one than dozens or hundreds.  Please address this immediately.

Refer to earlier email:  Dignity Acres Emergency Campsite.

Thank You for giving your personal attention to these crucial matters.
P.S.  We are supporting Kansen Chu for District 4.  He fought along side us for NOTonNOBLE making sure tiny homes are not built near schools, parks, libraries, open reserves.
