"Go to Detroit" heard by (solanus casey!) Read by (me!) Sandra, tvgp

Please. I have so many things piled up I want to write about, there is a chance I might explode.

One thing I've been threatening to write about and do for years now, is take kathy Cordova's book (to start), "let go.. Let miracles happen" I think its called,

And just go through it and highlight every time someone describes themselves as "hearing from God"

Because THERE IS A VERY PRONOUNCED common denominator between these people; joyce Meyer ("go east, west, south, north"); myself; the testimonies I've listened to on any variety of church TV programs

And as can be seen write here in a book I'm rereading: thank God ahead of time. The life and spirituality of solanus Casey.

The common denominator is this:   brevity.

"Go to Detroit.".   Three words.

"Go east, west, north, south".  Five words.

"Go back to sleep" (I think it was..  ) elizabeth gilbert.

"Sandra. Read Solomon".  Three words..

Has this already been done? Has someone just gone through these testimonies and just highlighted?

- because this fascinates me to no end..   The invisible to our physical eye source of these received messages...

And I have discerned both correctly and incorrectly; so I stay in prayer about being able to discern correctly "hear only your voice God.."

And recently i was told about a person who said to their aging parent, " I heard from God you would not make it to (# here).

-write away, I was like,  no spiritually evolved person would ever communicate such a thing..

It made me sick to my stomach.  And turns out the person was wrong; the parent passed the age she was told she would not survive, by her child prophet.

I do believe we receive messages.  But discernment; this is an art.

For me personally, I believe I have come to know, understand, over the years through TV, books, prayer; the character of God.

Equally..  The character of the enemy.

And then the art, skill of listening/recognizing my own thoughts.. Paying close attention to what I pay attention to..

Knowing what I'm thinking.. And placing it ALL through that filter:

If it is not of God's character, as I have come to know/understand Gods character; I change the station.  Consciously; purposefully.

It is an ongoing practice.  The results are both sublime and divine.

"Thank you Jesus!".  Amen.

Also on my mind to write about: spirit vs. Character; distinctions.

-origins of resentment (dogs/journalism class)

-access to feelings (dogs/babies)
-no access (inability to empathize; -borrow/imagine.. Wonder..
